Facial Acupuncture

Facial acupuncture is an all-natural, holistic & minimally invasive cosmetic treatment that reduces fine lines and wrinkles, improves facial elasticity, and tightens and brightens the complexion, giving you a youthful glow that starts within. Oil cleansing, facial gua sha & cupping with botanical facial oil are also included in this treatment.

How it works

Facial acupuncture works in several different ways to create amazing results. First, the insertion of acupuncture needles stimulates the lymphatic and circulatory systems, working together to deliver nutrients and oxygen to the skin cells, and nourishing the skin from the inside out. Facial acupuncture also works by increasing Qi & Blood flow and stimulating the facial muscles to tighten and tone the skin.

The goal of facial acupuncture is to tone the skin of the face and neck to attain a more youthful appearance. The insertion of acupuncture needles creates a micro trauma, which stimulates the body’s natural collagen and elastin production. The increase in collagen production improves the skin’s elasticity, which helps smooth out fine wrinkles and lines and plump the skin.

In addition to facial acupuncture points, body acupuncture points are included in the session to nourish the entire body and treat the "root" cause of facial and aesthetic concerns.

The benefits

The most common result reported from facial acupuncture is a brighter, plumper complexion. Other benefits include reduced fine lines and wrinkles, even skin tone, tighter and toned facial muscles, as well as looking up to ten years younger and feeling more confident in their own skin.

Facial acupuncture is 100% natural, free of toxic chemicals, minimally invasive, and generally painless. Other health benefits include improved sleep quality, a calm nervous system, and improved energy in addition to the physical cosmetic benefits, as well as the reduction of any other physical, mental & emotional symptoms you may be experiencing.

How it compares to Botox or fillers

Results of facial acupuncture are more gradual & less dramatic when compared to botox or dermal fillers, but can last up to twelve times longer when following the recommended treatment plan. Facial acupuncture can be compared to taking your face to the gym, and works best in a series of treatment. A typical course of treatment is ten to twelve weekly sessions to achieve the desired results, with maintenance treatments every four to six weeks to achieve long lasting results.

The Procedure

Your first visit includes a detailed Eastern medical health evaluation and discussion of specific beauty & health goals. The face will first be cleansed, before acupuncture needles are inserted into specific points throughout the body, and targeted areas of the face, based on your goals. The needles will be left in for 20-30 minutes, while you relaxes and take an acu nap. Needles are then taken out and followed with facial gua sha or cupping with botanical facial oil.

Following the session, your treatment plan will be discussed and you will have time to ask any questions. Lifestyle support may be given, and herbal medicine and supplements will be recommend for additional purchase.
